Yes there are many new devices but sometimes the mental agony caused by the sight of the old tools can be fun to play with. Some enjoy fear and they do not know the old tools as well as the new so sometimes it can add to the experience.

Agee, you are a student of old school; these days, they have made a switch that also takes care of that challenge. I had experienced tasers on both nipples at the same time. It was about 5 seconds on each bust, and he gave me 5 such busts with a gap of 2 minutes in between.

You may be mistaking volts for Amps. A person can die from as little as 0.1- 0.2 amps. Voltage on the other hand can go quite high without death

However, if administered in bursts of 10 to 15 seconds and each brust is for between 1 second to max of 10 seconds with a break of one to three minutes between each burst, and after a set of 10 bursts, a complete rest of 10 minutes is taken before restarting, it will not be fatal. I have experienced this procedure and can confirm it was administered to me in this manner.
